In 1942, Department of Histology is established under the name of Embryology – Histology department from Human and Veterinary medicine and was one of the first 6 department of Mongolian National University. That was the first time when histology was taught in medical students.
The Department of Histology teach Pre-Medical students 1st and 2nd year, Pre-Health classes, School of Dentistry 3rd year, Laboratory technician course, Occupational health and safety specialist class, pharmacy 3+3 class and also participate post graduate PhD, Master degree, Physician, Hospital specialist credit course. We also have Cell Biology laboratory which we use for research and training.
